Creating a sense of place
Landscape architecture for Darwin’s homes, hospitality spaces, and public places.
ABOUT
Design shaped by real construction experience
Essence Landscape Architecture brings over 15 years of landscape design and construction-industry experience to Darwin. With a background spanning concept design through to construction detailing and estimating, I bring a rare mix of design sensibility and cost-awareness to every project — helping ideas stay both beautiful and buildable.
Trained in France and shaped by more than a decade working across Melbourne and Sydney, I now bring that experience to the Top End — designing for Darwin's climate and lifestyle.

Why Essence
Design that already knows what it costs
Over 15 years spent estimating and designing landscape projects means I design with an eye on what things cost and how they get built — so ideas stay ambitious without becoming impractical.
That means fewer surprises at tender, realistic designs, and predictable outcomes for everyone involved.
APPROACH
Landscape made for Darwin
Darwin doesn’t do anything by halves: the dry, the heat, the storms and the green that returns every wet season. The best outdoor spaces here don’t fight it, they belong to it.
That’s what I design for: beauty you feel at home in, with the life of the place woven though it.
Tell me about your project, and how you want to live in the space.
